the beards day off

unlike me, the beard gets mondays off. so whilst i drag my tired butt to work on a monday morning to start my week, the beard gets to sleep in and go on a monday adventure. can you tell i'm jealous?! today he went off into gastown, grabbed his morning juice, a donut (ofcourse!) and enjoyed a rare rain free vancouver day. it's a tough life.

the beard and i are currently obsessed with donuts. donuts, donuts, donuts! you would be too if you lived near a place like cartems donuterie. my current must haves are the earl grey and the carrot cake. they are beyond delicious and their gastown location is only temporary so we have to get as many visits in as we possibly can. on monday the beard had the day off and surprised me at work with a box. he's a total keeper!

before i became a vegetarian, the beard and i went to the american cheesesteak co. the beard loved it. for me, the highlight were the fries! covered in parmesan, garlic and parsley.. oh my!
